Tottenham star claims he was wasted by Mauricio Pochettino and hails Jose Mourinho

Tottenham winger Lucas Moura has claimed that he was wasted by Mauricio Pochettino in a central role last season and is pleased to be playing in his best position under Jose Mourinho. The 27-year-old was replacing Harry Kane last season when Spurs’ captain suffered an ankle injury, however, Lucas believes he wasn’t able to show his best playing in that position. “Everyone knows I am not a No9, it is not my best position,” he said. "When Pochettino put me there I always gave my best because for me the most important thing is the team but each coach has one opinion. Now I feel very good in this position. I always played in this position, I feel good and I am happy. I am happy he likes me and he said it, it is very important to me to have this confidence from the coach and I hope to help him, help the team. I will always give my best and I am happy for the opportunity he has given me.” Under Jose Mourinho Tottenham have won 3-2 over West Ham on Saturday in the Premier League and 4-2 over Olympiacos in the Champions League clash on Tuesday.
