Tottenham sent Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg transfer message by Southampton chief executive

Southampton chief executive officer Martin Semmens has revealed that they have yet to receive a suitable offer for the club midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Spurs have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old amid the interest from Everton. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano and Ed Aarons in The Guardian (via Daily Hotspur) reported that Jose Mourinho's side are “confident” of completing the signing of the player this summer. However, Semmens has insisted hat they have yet to receive a suitable offer for the midfielder. He said: "Pierre's always said to us that he will be professional and do a great job every day that he is here, and he's done that. He's played, he's trained, he's been great. But on top of that, he's said all along that he feels that if given an opportunity he wants to play in the Champions League, if that opportunity came. And we've kind of respected that and left that door open. We have had some offers from teams that have been in the latter stages of the Premier League recently, some pretty good offers, ones that we probably would be open-minded to, but at the moment we don't have the offers from the clubs that seem to be the ones that are all over social media saying Pierre's going to. In reality from our perspective on Pierre, if he wants to move to another club and that club has the money and the ability to buy him, then we will have that discussion. But at this point, we have not received an offer like that."
