Tottenham prepare Real Madrid swap deal for Gareth Bale

Tottenham have been in contract with Gareth Bale, it has been claimed. The Real Madrid forward ready to leave the Catalan giants, following the club boss Zinedine Zidane's criticism towards him. The Spurs are preparing to offer £25.7m (€30m) plus Christian Eriksen to bring Bale back to the club, according to El Desmarque. Eriksen's contract with Tottenham expires at the end of the season, so the contract is likely to be signed. Bale has scored 55 goals in 203 games for the Spurs and supports the club's decision of hiring Mourinho as a new coach. The 30-year-old said: "Having Mourinho there is an amazing statement from the club, I think he's a serial winner. Tottenham want to win trophies and I don't think there's a better partnership than Mourinho and Tottenham together to try and win some trophies." Former Tottenham forward Dimitar Berbatov believes Bale would be a good signing for the club. He told: "Gareth Bale has said he thinks Jose Mourinho is a good fit for Tottenham so it seems possible that the Portuguese could try to sign the Welshman in January. That would be a great move for both parties. I’m a big admirer of Bale, it’s not working out for him in Madrid and, if he comes back to England, Spurs would probably be the ideal club for him. He understands the club and was a great player for them before he left for Spain. I would be very pleased to see him back at Spurs."
