Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in Tottenham's Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, who is believed to not fit the incoming manager Ange Postecoglou's playing system.
The Denmark international has been made available for sale in the summer transfer window. Despite speculations regarding a return to Bayern Munich, La Liga's Atletico Madrid have opened talks for the 27-year-old midfielder, according to TMWs. Hojbjerg's initial asking price is expected to be set soon.
Atletico's pursuit of Hojbjerg could face complications as the midfielder is under contract with Tottenham Hotspur until the conclusion of the 2024/25 season. This suggests that the Spurs would demand a significant fee for his transfer, making it unlikely for Atletico to acquire him at a bargain price.
Another midfielder that has been linked with the Spanish club is Sofyan Amrabat, who is on Barecolan's radar, too.
