Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho has demonstrated a touching gesture towards Sergio Reguilon on Christmas Day, as the left-back revealed.
Reguilon, who has impressed in the Premier League since his move from Real Madrid, spent the day on his own away from his family in Spain.
And speaking to Spanish outlet
AS, Reguilon explained what Mourinho did to help him enjoy his Christmas.
"I'd like you to know him the way I know him," he said when asked about Mourinho.
"I could tell a thousand great stories. For example, on Christmas Day. He knows I'm on my own. We arrive at training on the 25th at 3pm and there's a box in my place.
"I open it up and it's a roast suckling pig, already cooked. He said to me 'I know you're alone at Christmas, and that way you don't have to cook and you'll eat well.'
"It's really important for a player that he keeps an eye on how you are, away from football."
Mourinho and Reguilon are due to return to action on Wednesday when Spurs take on Fulham.
