Toby Alderweireld revealed where Tottenham went wrong against Liverpool

Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld highlights where his team went wrong and got beaten 2-1 by Liverpool. Harry Kane opened the score in the first minute of the match but Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson equalized it in the second half and because of Serge Aurier’s mistake, the Reds were handed a penalty which eventually determined the score of the game as was perfectly shot by Mohamed Salah. Speaking to Football.London, Alderweireld said:  “We should have had the ball, even more, try to hurt them a little more. There were some opportunities. If we played through their pressure, we could have hurt them more but at the end with the chance of Son, it’s 2-0 and a whole different game. I think today was unlucky. We lost the ball too easily I think. Then they can put pressure, pressure, pressure. If we were better on the ball, we could have had more. But we were unfortunate to lose today.” Spurs dropped to the 11th place in the Premier League standings after the loss to Liverpool on Sunday.
