Thomas Tuchel speaks on Chelsea's January transfer window plans

Chelsea are preparing to face Chesterfield in the FA Cup 3rd round on Saturday, January 8. Currently, the Blues are dealing with several long-term injuries as well as they have several players out with COVID19 and also on international duty. Thomas Tuchel's long-term injury concern is Ben Chilwell, who has suffered a season-ending injury. Reece James has also suffered a serious injury and is currently out. Meanwhile, Thiago Silva and N'Golo Kante are currently out as they tested positive for COVID19. Tuchel spoke out on the club's January transfer window plans ahead of their FA Cup clash. "Well, we are discussing and we are in talks, of course, with the staff and the board and the scouting, of course, checking the possibilities as we would always do," said Tuchel during a press conference. "But given the fact that we have some long-term injuries we're looking into the market, we're looking into some possibilities, not in the very highest pressure. And things have to make sense for us personality-wise, position-wise, and also in quality. So we have all options and we'll check them out."
