Ahead of the game, Thomas Tuchel provided a team news update. The Blues currently have several long-term injury concerns as well as COVID19 cases. "Right now I would say we have the same guys available as we did for the cup game. No new injuries or news which is good for us," said Tuchel during a press conference. "We have to wait for a last-minute decision on N’Golo Kante and Thiago Silva." Kante and Silva are currently out after testing positive for COVID.
