"This agent is very close to the Liverpool CEO": Liverpool receive transfer boost over 21-year-old forward

Liverpool have received transfer boost over Victor Osimhen, with the Reds CEO Peter Moore is pushing for the club to sign Lille forward, according to RAI Sports journalist Ciro Venerato. Osimhen has shown an impressive game with the French side, scoring 18 goals and providing 6 assists this term. He has been linked with a number of clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United and Napoli. The latters were the front-runners to sign the 21-year-old. However, last week several reports indicated that Osimhen’s new agent, William D’Avila is eager to push the player to the Premier League and has already been in contact with the likes of Liverpool. And Venerato has shed a light on the latest talks, saying: “Yesterday there was a telephone contact for Osimhen, D’Avila called Cristiano Giuntoli, and this gives us hope. In recent days he always postponed, despite having always responded with great grace. In England, there have been contacts, live meetings with the Liverpool chief scout. This agent is very close to the Liverpool CEO, who is pushing a lot for Osimhen, but the timing of the market is different from ours. The player continues to be of interest to the Reds, United and Tottenham, but the times are dilated.  Napoli have the advantage because they have a definite agreement with Lille, his club are pressing him so that he accepts the blue shirt. As mentioned earlier, in England, the market is made at the end of the season, and the French club cannot wait.”
