"The Premier League needed finishing" – Jordan Henderson on "null and void" claims

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has responded to the claims that Premier League's season should have been declared null and void. Premier League is currently on suspension due to coronavirus pandemic, however, the league is set to return on June 17th. The Reds are currently leading the league table with 25-points ahead of second-placed Manchester City. When asked if he ever felt calling the season null and void was a possibility, Henderson told TalkSPORT: “Not really. “I think obviously for us we still think we’ve got work to do, and we have. We’ve got nine games left and we want to win as many of them as possible. “And that was all our focus was on really in terms of just wanting to get back and waiting for the right time to go back. “I was always under the impression that, not only for us but for the rest of the league, it needed finishing at some point.” source - Goal
