The Athletic: Aston Villa academy player STABBED on Friday evening

  17-year-old Aston Villa academy player Bradley Young has been stabbed on Friday evening at Solihull Park, The Athletic reports.  Young, a forward of Aston Villa U-18 side, was treated at the park in Elmdon Park just before 9.30pm and taken to hospital.  A statement on the incident says “a man aged 24 has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and drugs possession, while two others, a man and a woman, have been held on suspicion of wounding”. Young is one of the most talented prospects in Aston Villa academy, scoring 4 goals in 16 appearances.  At this point, the circumstances of the event are uncertain.
