'Still struggling' - Mikel Arteta reveals 'terrific' Arsenal player still has probem at the team

Mikel Arteta has admitted that Gabriel Magalhaes is still struggling with the English language. Speaking to Football.London, the Arsenal boss has revealed that Gabriel is still having language barrier problems although he has ‘good chemistry’ with Ben White. The Spaniard is pleased that Gabriel still looks ‘terrific’ despite that matter and hopes the defender will get a little bit more comfortable with English as long as he is at the Emirates.

“Yes, because they never played together, because Gabi is still struggling a little bit with the language, because they didn’t have any time to work together in pre-season either,” said Arteta.   “But they’re getting a really good connection. Good chemistry. I think their qualities match and complement each other really, really well and I think both of them today were terrific,” he added.

The 23-year-old centre back is the only Portuguese speaker in the Arsenal back line. Aaron Ramsdale, Kieran Tierney and White all speak English, so the Brazilian's communication perhaps is not at 100% currently.   Source - hitc Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
