Steven Gerrard sends a message to Aston Villa fans following appointment

  Steven Gerrard was announced as the new Aston Villa manager on Thursday, November 11. Gerrard left Rangers after 3 years, having won the Scottish Premiership title last year. The former Liverpool star has taken to Instagram to send a message, following his appointment. He wrote: "A massive thank you to the Aston Villa fans for the warm welcome I have received. "I’m well aware of the stature of the football club and how special an atmosphere you all create at Villa Park - I’m looking forward to sampling that for the first time as your new Head Coach next weekend. "I can’t wait to get started. I’m looking forward to meeting all the staff and players and getting to work out on the training pitch. "UTV ⚽️ @avfcofficial."
