Steven Gerrard reveals what he did when Liverpool scored 4th against Barcelona

Liverpool legend, Rangers head coach Steven Gerrard reveals why he left Anfield Road just after Liverpool scored 4th goal against Barcelona during the second leg of Champions League semi-finals. Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum scored twice each to seal Merseyside club’s historical comeback against Lionel Messi and co. Gerrard was noticed watching the match at Anfield Road. However, he left the pitch and didn’t watch the match until the final whistle. “I had to leave. I couldn’t cope when it went to four.” Gerrard said (via Daily Record) “I had visions of a couple of ex-teammates (Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez) and the best player in the world (Lionel Messi)breaking my heart, so I decided to leave. “I had seen enough. I got in the car at 4-0. I don’t think many left, everyone was there. The main reason I left early was because I had my seven-year-old daughter with me and she had school the next day. “But I would be a liar if I said there were no nerves and I wasn’t scared. It was the best decision to just get out of there.” Steven added. Liverpool will face Tottenham at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on June 1st.
