Sport Witness: Manchester City "closely" monitor 19-year-old player believed to be "the new Messi"

Manchester City are close to signing the 19-year-old player Thiago Almada amid Atletico Madrid interest, according to a report of AS via Sport Witness. Almada has shown an impressive game, since making his debut for Club Atletico Velez Sarsfield in South America. He has recorded 9 goals and 4 assists over 46 appearances for the club. This term he has scored 4 goals and provided one assist. Now both City and the Spanish side are in rush for the teenager, with the Blues showing their interest since early 2019.
