Manchester City are close to signing the 19-year-old player Thiago Almada amid Atletico Madrid interest, according to a report of AS via Sport Witness. Almada has shown an impressive game, since making his debut for Club Atletico Velez Sarsfield in South America. He has recorded 9 goals and 4 assists over 46 appearances for the club. This term he has scored 4 goals and provided one assist. Now both City and the Spanish side are in rush for the teenager, with the Blues showing their interest since early 2019. A past exclusive from the Sun claims Almada has been named the "new Messi" in his native Argentina.  Experts think he could be the "real deal" as City are eager to bring him to Etihad, with one of the club legends David Silva preparing to leave at the end of the season.
