Smith-Rowe, White, Partey: Arsenal latest injury updates ahead of Norwich clash

Arsenal are set to face Norwich City on Saturday, September 11, as the international break is over. Mikel Arteta's side have been enduring a quite a tough time, having lost the three games of the Premier League this season. So they need to get back to their winning ways, and ahead of the Norwich clash, let's take a look at the latest team news and injury updates of Gunners. Emile Smith Rowe is not likey to be fit for this weekend's game after he had to miss England Under 21s European Championship qualifier against Kosovo due to illness. The youngster's absence from the Young Lions' clash on Tuesday wasn't connected to Covid-19, but with just four days between the two matches, time is running out for him to be fit for Norwich. Granit Xhaka has tested positive for coronavirus while on international duty with Switzerland and has to self-isolate for ten days. Even if the midfielder recovered from illness he wouldn't be able to play for Arsenal, after getting a red card last time against Manchester City. Mohamed Elneny had suffered an issue prior to joining their international camp and he hasn't since featured for his country, so he will be doubt for Arsenal as well this weekend. Ben White will be fit after the international break following the end of his 10-day quarantine. The defender tested positive for Covid-19 prior to the clash with Chelsea at the Emirates on August 22, but he featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly win over the Bees and will be available for when the Gunners host Norwich. Gabriel Magalhaes was unavailable for all of Arsenal's opening three Premier League games after sustaining a knee injury while away with Brazil at the 2020 Olympics. But the Brazilian has been back in training before the Gunners' clash with Norwich City and appears to be steadily progressing back to full fitness, and did feature in the friendly, starting alongside White in defence. Thomas Partey suffered an injury against Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on August 1 and has been out since. However, he returned to training earlier this week and could potentially make a swift return to action, earlier than initially expected. Eddie Nketiah also sustained an injury against Thomas Tuchel's side in pre-season, enduring an ankle problem that has kept him out until now. But he was back in first-team training earlier this week, but it's unknown whether he'll be available for the game against Norwich.
