Sheffield United coach sends message to Liverpool ahead of Premier League game

Liverpool are preparing to play an away Premier League game against Sheffield United on Saturday, September 28. The Reds will be hoping to extend their perfect run in the Premier League as currently they are leading the league table with maximum points. However, ahead of the game, Sheffield United coach Chris Wilder has sent a message to the Reds. "Playing the European champions at home was always going to be one of those fixtures that you look forward to," said Wilder. "Six years ago this fixture was a million miles away. "I don't want my players getting starry-eyed, asking for shirts and things getting signed. They aren't like that and they won't be like that. We're on a level playing field in that it's a Premier League fixture. "Of course there's an enormous gap between both clubs at the moment and one where we're trying to make that gap a little bit closer. If you ask all our players before the game, they want to get stuck into the opposition. "Everyone will have it down as an away win, but we've got to find ways to hurt them." The game is scheduled at 12:30 BST, Bramall Lane Stadium. "It might turn into a back 10 or 11," continued Wilder. "My players don't get the results they have achieved over the past three years without wanting to win. "I don't want Liverpool to come into our back yard and say: 'thanks very much, it is the easiest three points of the season.' "We must have an 'over-our-dead-bodies' mentality and put up as much resistance as possible and try and cause them a few problems the other way."  via LiverpoolECHO
