Shaq responds to Draymond Green’s claim the Warriors would’ve destroyed Lakers of 2000s

Shaquille O’Neal has responded to Draymond Green’s claim that his pick and roll with Stephen Curry’s shooting would’ve destroyed the Lakers of the 2000s.  The 4-time NBA champion O’Neal believes the Warriors wouldn’t have even been a contender in the Western Conference, considering the teams that were playing back then.  Shaq mentioned Spurs, Sacramento, Utah, Portland, Minnesota, claiming they were much better in their era than Golden State would have been. “Ok, so in this era, Draymond wouldn’t have been in the game for them to be a pick and roll, cause he would’ve got three quick fouls.” O’Neal said during Sirius XM NBA Radio.   “Now, let’s take it back to our era. We wouldn’t even be playing (the Warriors), because they’d be the six or seven seed. You had us (LA Lakers), you got San Antonio, Sacramento, you had Kevin Garnett, you had Utah, you had Portland. They wouldn’t even been a factor.  “So you know, pick and roll is OK, but we would’ve trapped Stephen (Curry), forced him to shoot or if steph would’ve got away, I would have told Dereck Fisher: “You know what? Steph’s getting too hot. Let him drive to the basket.” And I would have touched his a** up two or three times and he wouldn’t have came back in there.  “Draymond, he does have G14 classification, but stop it, Mr. Draymond. You’re too little, way too little. Cut it out.”
