Sevilla sporting director responds to Jules Kounde to Manchester City transfer talks

Sevilla Director of Football, Monchi has responded to transfer speculation, linking Jules Kounde with a move to Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's side were reported to be interested in sigining 21-year-old defender, as per Estadio Deportivo. According to the report, Sevilla referred to Koundé’s release clause of €90m, unwilling to allow their player leave if the Premier League side aren’t met their asking price. And amid the transfer talks, Monchi has confirmed that Sevilla have rejected the bid of €60m offered by the Citizens. He said: “I doubt very much that Kounde has reached an agreement with City, because he has a contract with Sevilla. “It’s true that in the last few days we’ve received interest from a club in Kounde. That club has transmitted an offer to us that has been considered by management and rejected. “If they came back [for Kounde], we would listen to them again and respond to them again. “Knowing Kounde, he is surely thinking more about Lewandowski, Muller, Sane or Gnabry than other things.”
