Sergio Aguero has sent a farewell message to the clubs he played at and to the supporters in his press conference.
The 33-year-old announced his retirement from football due to a heart condition.
“My health comes first. Medical staff have told me it’s best to stop playing and so I’m now leaving Barcelona and retiring from professional football,” he said.
Aguero has played in Atletico Madrid, Manchester City and Barcelona, so he had some words to share during the press.
"I want to share my gratitude to everyone, regardless of where I've played ... Atlético Madrid ... Manchester City ... Barça," Kun said.
When speaking about Man City, he added:
"You all know how I feel about Man City, I gave everything, they looked after me really well..."
"I will leave now with my head held high, I'm happy. I don't know what awaits me in the next life. I know there's a lot of people that love me, and want the best for me!"
Aguero's Man City statue outside the Etihad Stadium will be
unveiled in 2022, standing alongside those of Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
