Scott McTominay’s perfect skills against Barcelona didn’t stay unnoticed (Video)

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has established himself as one of the regular players in Solskjaer’s squad and his performance against Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final tie impressed both fans and specialists. McTominay was thrown in at the deep end in place of the injured Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera and has been hailed by many as United’s best player in the 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford. United legend Rio Ferdinand showed his huge respect to McTominay after the match. https://twitter.com/RedDevilBible/status/1116080092550180866 Speaking on BTSport Ferdinand said of McTominay: "I thought he was great. He grew into the game and I think he's growing in stature. "I keep mentioning the PSG game because there was no expectations of him - the young, inexperienced person - to do well. But today, I thought his energy, his intensity - he was the catalyst for a lot of the good stuff that happened. "He won a lot of balls back and then gave the ball simply and efficiently to other players and I just think that there are sometimes performances that really do make you grow in stature and believe that you're part of the first team. "Young lads come into the team and I think it takes a performance or two for them to feel comfortable in their surroundings, and I think the PSG game and now this one will really do that, and I think he'll be respected as well even more."
