Sadio Mane could cost Barcelona a world record £225m transfer fee

Barcelona would have to pay £225 million record fee to sign Liverpool striker Sadio Mane during the summer transfer window. The Senegal international enjoys an impressive season with Jurgen Klopp's side. This term he has made 34 appearances in total, scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists for the club. The 27-year-old was linked with the move to Camp Nou amid Real Madrid interest. However, Quique Setien's side would have to pay more, than their Catalan rivals. According to Mirror, Barcelona have an agreement with Liverpool that they will pay £89 million above the market value for any of their players until summer 2021. The agreement was included in Philippe Coutinho's move deal back in January 2018. As Transfermarkt currently values Mane at £135 million, the La Liga giants will need £198 million to sign the forward.
