Ryan Mason makes "disappointing" claim on Tottenham's top four hopes after Leeds defeat

Tottenham have suffered a 3-1 loss at Leeds United on Saturday afternoon. Stuart Dallas opened the scoring already in the 13th minute, however, just a few minutes later Son Heung-Min equalised the score. Later Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo's goals secured the Whites essential three points. After the match Spurs interim coach Ryan Mason was asked whether the defaet was the end for their top four hopes in the Premier League. "I don't know," said Mason. "Look, today is a disappointing result for us. We wanted to come here and win the game. We haven't done that. That's very disappointing. We have to get over this and we have to work well this week and hopefully get three points next weekend." Mason was also asked about Harry Kane's ruled out goal at 1-1 score, to which he replied: "Of course [it could have changed the game]. Goals change games of football. I'll be honest when I saw it on the touchline I thought it was onside. The first time I watched it I thought it was onside and I've watched it three or four times since and my opinion hasn't changed on that. "The momentum, the whole feeling of a football match, can change because at that point it stayed 1-1 and at 2-1 it's a completely different game of football. It was disappointing that we didn't get the decision there." Spurs are now sixth in the standings with 56 points, while Leeds are 9th with 50 points.
