Ronald Koeman speaks out on his recovery after having a heart procedure

    Netherlands football national team head coach Ronald Koeman says he is recovering after being hospitalized last weekend for a heart procedure.  “I had a scare last weekend. Me, but especially my family and my friends. Fortunately, the doctors at AMC Hospital helped me quickly and phenomenally. I'm very grateful to you.” Koeman wrote on twitter (cited by the Daily Mail). He added: “As a result of this event you realise what really matters in life. It has been wonderful for me to see so many people moved by this fact. I have received many loving messages.”

Koeman took charge of the Netherlands national team in 2018. He has qualified for a major tournament, the first for the country since the World Cup - 2014. Also, Koeman’s side reached Nations League finals, where they lost to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
