Roger Federer speaks about his relationship with Grigor Dimitrov

Grigor Dimitrov has never beaten Roger Federer on a hard court, however, he can attempt to take motivation from the fact that the last time he fell to Federer on the hardcourt at a Grand Slam ahead of his game with Federer in the US Open quarter-finals. Roger Federer previewed his upcoming match at the US Open against Dimitrov. "I practised with him in Cincy", said Federer. "He was the guy I practised with first when I just came off the plane. Know Grigor very well. He's a good friend of mine. It was fun having him also at the Laver Cup last time around. I spent a week there with him. Of course, when we play, it's as close as it gets to being a similar playing style. I think for both of us it's cool to play one another."
