Rodri makes confident claim after Manchester City's failed bid to sign Harry Kane

Rodri has talked about Manchester City's failed pursuit of signing a striker, particularly Tottenham's Harry Kane. City have been in a long chase of signing a striker a this summer in order to replace departed Sergio Aguero. Kane has been the main target for Pep Guardiola, however, the 28-year-old decided to stay at Spurs eventually. Rodri, who is currently on international duty with Spain, has talked about City's failed transfer.
"A player of Kane’s stature helps a lot, but we have a team that's been able to win the Premier League, like an internal Champions League, and you don’t have to change much," said the City midfielder.   "The most valuable thing is the goal - there are very few who can score 20+ goals, but that doesn’t guarantee anything.   “We have other players like Ferran, for example, to play there. As a midfielder, I like to see him there - he creates a lot of space, and doesn’t just come in to face you.   "In addition, a finishing touch and a goalscoring ability.”
