Robin van Persie sends a MESSAGE to Manchester United board over Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer

Former Manchester United forward Robin van Persie believes the club should not try to change coaches in the way they have done since Alex Ferguson left Old Trafford in 2013. Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer is the 4th manager after David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho that is working with the club. Norwegian isn’t confident on his future as the club board wants results and trophies, which, however, are not yet reached.  Van Persie, who was in the squad that won the last PL title back in 2013, says if they go for one coach, they should stick with him in order to have stability.  "After Alex Ferguson left, everyone realised that it would be tough to stick to that level that Ferguson achieved for all of those years," he told Sky Sports (via Mirror). "I think everyone could see that. Now Moyes has been there, van Gaal, Mourinho and Solskjaer. "Ferguson took time to adjust and get to a certain level. I don’t think that it’s ideal for the club to keep changing the manager every one or two years. "If you go for Solskjaer, go for him and give him time, that is what I think because the club needs to find some stability." Manchester United are currently 7th in PL and have 38 points. Due to the latest victory against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge, Red Devils are now only 3 points behind the Top - 4.  Despite another good result against a Top 6 side, van Persie believes a lot of work is needed to be done.  "Now they win against Chelsea and to be fair they had a good game," he explained. "But you never know what’s going to happen in the next few games. It’s not consistent enough to be able to really play for the trophies. "It is difficult because you have to compete against Liverpool, who are unbelievable and Manchester City, who are brilliant. "Manchester City are not on the same level this year, but based on the last couple of years, they and Liverpool have been unbelievable. "That is the level United have to go to, that is consistency, and that is the hardest thing in football because the league is tough. "Even if you play against teams like Burnley away, teams like that are really difficult to get points against. You have to get everything right and that is a big challenge to get that consistency."
