Rio 2016. Medal count after Day 7

Rio Olympic Games have gone through Day 7, bringing changes to the medal table, except for the first two positions.

USA and Chine seem to have long-term domination over the medal count table. In Day 7 USA has won 4 gold (Michelle Carter (athletics), Madeline Dirado, Katie Ledecky and Anthony Ervin (all swimming)), 1 silver (Michael Phelps (swimming)) and 7 bronze (team equestrian, Nico Hernandez (boxing), Tennis men’s doubles, Kim Rhode (shooting), Brady Ellison (archery), Men’s fencing team) medals.

China has claimed 2 gold (Wang Zhen (athletics, walk), Cycling women’s team), 2 silver (Cai Zelin (athletics, walk), Tian Tao (China)) and 3 bronze (Yu Song (Judo), Women’s rowing team) medals.

Day 7 has become an extremely successful one for Great Britain as it has become the third, while was the 8th. In one day they have claimed 3 gold (Men’s cycling team, Men’s rowing team, Women’s rowing team) and 3 silver (Men’s equestrian team, Bryony Page (trampoline), Jazmin Carlin (swimming) medals.
