Rhian Brewster explains why he was pictured wearing rival colours

A month ago, Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster posted a picture on Instagram of him, when he was a child, with Steven Gerrard. The picture went viral, as the Reds youngster is wearing a West Ham kit. And during the FIFA 20 World Premiere, Brewster gave an interview to Mirror, where he revealed why he wore the West Ham jersey when he was a child.

"That was when I was younger, about six or seven," said Brewster. "I was on trial at West Ham and I went to a game, it was West Ham vs Liverpool and obviously I took a picture with him - oh and by the way I'm not a West Ham supporter! I don't know where everyone got that from. "I have always wanted to be a footballer, and it was Gerrard! Who knew I was going to be at Liverpool one day?"
