REVEALED: Why Unai Emery wants Mesut Ozil to exit Arsenal

Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants the club to find an exit route for Mesut Ozil before the end of the January transfer window to free up funds to sign his own players. However, the Gunners are still to receive credible interest for the player, who does not want to go on loan and whose £350,000-a-week salary deters potential buyers. Emery has an agreement with Barcelona’s Denis Suarez but the Catalan club are stalling over a loan deal, as they want a commitment from Arsenal to buy the player in the summer, something the North London club are refusing to do. Arsenal will not sign any new players on permanent deals before the January transfer window shuts, manager Unai Emery has revealed recently. “We cannot make payments to sign players,” Emery said. “Only we can loan players.” Emery also has spoken out on Denis Suarez transfer speculation. The Barcelona star has been linked with a move to Emirates. “I don’t know about his situation. But we can only sign players on loan,” Emery said. “I know the club is working to find players who can help us, with this condition. I know these players and they are very good players. But I cannot sign more.”
