REVEALED: Newcastle United summer transfer budget

Mike Ashley will allow Newcastle United to spend up to around £80 million in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic. Steve Bruce met Mike Ashley during the January transfer window, and he was reassured that funds were available and if they were not spent then, they would be “rolled over” into summer 2021. Newcastle United are reportedly want to sign two or three quality players. The Athletic reports their sources told them that whilst Bruce would like a striker with experience in the Premier League, the major funds will only be available “to spend on the right players,” in other words, under 25 and from European League. Managing director Lee Charnley, head of recruitment Steve Nickson and Bruce all were involved in the preliminary transfer discussions. Source: The Mag Join us on Telegram!
