Reports, Arsenal consider a summer move for Tottenham defender
According to what has been reported by The Sun, Arsenal are interested in signing Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.
Gunners are currently fighting for Top - 4 place and Europa League title. In order to have some more money for new transfers, Unai Emery will need a Champions League qualification for the next season.
Despite being one of the most richest teams in the world, Arsenal chiefs are not going to spend big during summer transfer window.
As team needs a qualified center back, Belgium international Alderweireld could be an option due to his relatively low price.
Tottenham has a contract with him expiring in 2020, but there is a release clause of £25 m mentioned in the agreement, that this summer could be paid, if an interested side would want to buy Alderweireld.
Other Premier League tops, including Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in signing Toby.
