Report: Barcelona eye Tottenham midfielder with four assists this season

Barcelona are said to be interested in Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. According to The Mirror, the The Catalan giants have eyed the Frenchman, with the club in wish to add more midfield options to the squad. Joining the Spurs from Lyon with a £58 million record signing, Ndombele has struggled in the team, having a poor form and spending his first season with injuries. He has played 27 games for the club in all competitions. The miffielder’s latest performance was against Burnley, during the last Premier League game before the competition suspension. Speaking about the player, the club boss Jose Mourinho has revealed he was expected more from Ndombele, with the French professional adapting too slowly to the Premier League.  The Mirror claims that Barcelona football director Eric Abidal admires Ndombele, and La Liga giants might be the next destination of the player.   Tottenham are unlikely to qualify for the Champions League and Ndombele’s transfer fee would help Mourinho improve the squad.  Source: Bleacher Report
