Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr blames referee for being unfair after Champions League defeat to Manchester City

Vinicius Junior has insisted Real Madrid were treated unfairly by the referee in their 2-1 home defeat by Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. The 19-year-old winger has also stated Gabriel Jesus' 78th-minute equaliser should have been ruled out for a foul on Sergio Ramos. Jesus made slight contact with Ramos as he rose to head home Kevin De Bruyne's cross from the left and cancel out Isco's opening goal. Then the Citizens earned a golden chance to complete the turnaround when substitute Raheem Sterling drew a foul in the area from Dani Carvajal. Later Kevin De Bruyne scored the final goal of the night from the penalty securing the victory of Pep Guardiola's side. In the 86th minute Real Madrid's captain Sergio Ramos was sent off for bringing down Jesus as the last man. In a post mach interview Vinicius Jr said: "Gabriel Jesus committed a foul in the first goal and everyone knows it. "We have the VAR but the referee didn't want to go and have a look at the play. I could see it from the sidelines and it was clear. "Referees always come here and make decisions against us on purpose, it's always the same. We are the team that has won the most league titles and most Champions League, it will always be like this." However, Jesus claims  that he did not foul Ramos in the build-up to his goal. "Football is a contact sport, I didn't push him," said the Brazilian striker. "I barely used my hand and didn't make a big movement, I stayed still, it wasn't a foul." Source- Mirror
