Real Madrid prepare £90m bid to rival Manchester United for a defender

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has long been linked with a move to Manchester United.

According to Mirror, Real Madrid are reportedly ready to splash out £90million to land Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Napoli are unwilling to accept anything less than the fee Real offers but Los Blancos may stump up the cash as they bid to get their season back on track, according to Italian outlet Il Mattino.

Currently Real Madrid sit 5th in La Liga table with 30 points, after losing against Real Sociedad in a home match game.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have won their last games after sacking Jose Mourinho and are 6th in the league with 38 points.
