RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann makes a claim over Timo Werner's Champions League campaign

RB Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann has claimed that Timo Werner is still in his plans for RB Leipzig’s Champions League campaign. Monday's reports suggested that the Germany striker had told his club he did not want to be considered for action when the 2019-20 European season resumes in August. Werner has reportedly agreed to join to Chelsea, with the Frank Lampard's side set to pay his £52million release clause - although they are yet to seal the switch with the German club. However, when asked about the striker’s stance on Tuesday, RB Leipzig boss Nagelsmann said: "He is currently, as usual, in my plans to play the Champions League. He is our player and has not signed for anyone else. "His importance to RB Leipzig is extraordinary. He has an incredibly good goalscoring rate, which you always hope for from a striker." He also added: "Then both parties will sit down and see what happens next. There are no regulations at the moment." Source- Mirror
