Ray Parlour backs Arsenal for more FA Cup glory

VBET ambassador Ray Parlour fancies Arsenal to win a “really cagey” FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday. Parlour won the world’s oldest national football competition time four times during a stellar career. He also famously scored a wonder-goal when Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-0 in 2002 final. The Arsenal legend is not expecting fireworks in the early stages on what is likely to be sultry afternoon in the capital at the weekend. But Parlour believes there will still be goals, and predicts the Gunners to emerge victorious against their London rivals. He told VBET: “It’s always a special day for everyone at the club, but it’s going to be a little bit different this year as no-one can go to the stadium. “There’s a bit of pressure on you because it is a final and there’s lots at stake. “How the game’s going to go? I think it will be really cagey. “It’s always hot day in FA Cup finals, so it may be a slow start. But I’m expecting goals and I’m definitely going to go over 2.5 goals. BET NOW “I think Arsenal are good value to maybe win the game. They have a good record against Chelsea in FA Cup finals. “So I’m going to go 2-1, with (Pierre-Emerick) Aubameyang to score.” Parlour has so many fond FA Cup memories, but considers Arsenal’s 2-0 victory against Newcastle in 1998 as being his defining moment in the competition – most poignantly as he got to swop shirts with the late Gary Speed. He said: “Luckily enough, I got man of the match in the final – (it was) a fantastic afternoon. “I also swapped my shirt with the late Gary Speed – what a player he was. “It as a very memorable day for me, and one day I’m going to give Gary Speed’s shirt back to his boys because they deserve it more than me. “Hopefully that will happen very, very soon when I meet them.”
