Ralf Rangnick has given his first press conference following his aoppointment as new Manchester United interim manager.
Speaking in the interview, Rangnick admitted that Everton had played a huge role in growing his love for English football.
The newly appointed United boss has shared some of his memories he would make trips from Brighton to watch the Toffees in the 1980s.
"As you all know, when I was a young student I studied English at university to become an English teacher, English and P.E," said the former RB Leipzig boss.
"Back in the late 70s and early 80s I lived in Brighton, and since then I fell in love with English football.
"In the early 80s I took the fast train from Brighton to Victoria station and watched, every three days, a home game in Highbury and the old White Hart Lane - or even in Liverpool I went to Goodison.
"Since then I have always very much cherished the way that teams are being supported. I think this is absolutely unique.
"For me it's more than exciting to now be part of that atmosphere. This should help any team, and especially our players, to get on track and play at the highest possible level."
