Ralf Rangnick has claimed he wouldn’t be surprised to see Scott McTominay becoming Manchester United captain in the future.
The Red Devils beat Aston Villa 1 - 0 in the FA Cup 3rd round, while the midfielder's goal helped his side to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Rangnick was delighted with McTominay's latest performance last night and shared his full praise after the match when speaking to the media.
“He is an academy boy, his energy is amazing,” the German boss told BBC Sport via
Goal.com.
“He now also starts scoring goals and also with some leadership skills. I wouldn’t be surprised if in a couple of years he would be the captain of this team.”
