Rafa Benitez explains Dominic Calvert-Lewin return plan and provides four more Everton injury updates

Everton head coach Rafa Benitez says Dominic Calvert-Lewin is nearing a return to action. The 24-year-old has played in just three Premier League games this season, while the Toffees are without a win since September and are in desperate need of his return. Benitez highlighted how Calvert-Lewin is feeling strong - but is still at least a couple of weeks away as caution is required.
"[DCL] is doing well, I was talking with the physio today and with the fitness coach the other day," said Benitez in his pre-match press conference.   "He is getting better but he is still a couple of weeks minimum.   "We have to be very careful with him because he has had two injuries so we need to be sure he is getting stronger but now is the time to progress.   "He is doing really well and he is quite happy but we have to be careful."
The Toffees have been without a number of players for some weeks now - but the injury list looks as though it is easing with Yerry Mina taking part in some of the Blues' training session.
"Yerry Mina has done part of the training session today so he is getting closer. We will see how he reacts in the next couple of days to see if he is available or not," added Benitez.   "[Salomon] Rondon, we are assessing him, we are waiting. He is feeling better but we need to wait for the scan to see how he is doing.   "Andre Gomes has been training. We are missing just Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies."
