Pundit expresses "surprise" at how "influential" £25m Arsenal player has been after Everton clash

Steve Nicol has revealed that it’s been a "surprise" as to how "influential" Kieran Tierney has been at Arsenal. Gunners faced a home defeat to Everton on Friday night, with Bernd Leno being guilty in the only goal of the day. However, despite the results, Nicol spoke about the Mikel Arteta's side, sharing his thoughts on his fellow countryman, Tierney. “Four pieces of the puzzle have been missing, Odegaard, Tierney, Lacazette and Aubameyang,” he told ESPN. “But you know what with those four big pieces, they are still in 9th place, so I don’t know who is kidding who. This just isn’t a good team and it’s not a good squad. “And the so-called big pieces, they aren’t pulling the rest along, that’s for sure – Tierney has been a surprise in how influential he has been.”
