Prize money revealed for the winner of a potential European Super League

The European Super League have been shocking the world since 2021. The tournament was back in the spotlight on Thursday when the European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruled that both UEFA and FIFA acted against competition law.

Back in 2021 fans protested the tournament and it was halted with UEFA and FIFA having blocked it's potential return.

Following the new developtments, the SuperLeague annoucned the new plan for the competition with 64 men's clubs and 32 women's clubs set to participate. The new format is a mix of league and knockout football competition and could rival Champions League, Europa League and the Europa Conference League.

When the tournament was announced back in 2021, 10 out of the 12 clubs, including the Big Six from England pulled out of the competition following the protests from the fans.

And only two clubs stood in support of the tournament, Real Madrid and Barcelona. According to SPORT (via GIVEMESPORT), the clubs will be given financial bonus of up to €1 billion should the Super League be created for their loyalty.

Meanwhile, as per Marca's report in 2021, each participant in the European Super League will receive 3.5 billion euros to start with, while the winner will get close to 400 million euros.

Although, many clubs have now spoken against the tournament again and the creation of it is still uncertain.
