Press Conference; Jurgen Klopp speaks about Takumi Minamino and jokes about Lovren: "He will be back before my contract ends"

Liverpool are aiming to continue their unbeaten Premier League run, as they face Watford in their next game. The Reds have 15 victories this season so far and only one draw. They would like to continue their perfect run as Watford are the outsider. Liverpool are in the first place, while Watford are 20th. Nigel Pearson’s side have 9 points and 37 points behind Jurgen Klopp’s side. After signing a new contract extension with the Reds and ahead of the game against Watford, Klopp faced the press. "The club was asking for awhile already. We talked about it and it made sense before things are a bit intense. Maybe in the summer, we would have started talking again and players would ask 'how long is the manager here?' Really happy we can be part of a journey,” he said. “Four and a half years sounds like forever. It could be 9 years the longest spell ever at a club. For the next three and a half years now nobody has to talk about it Let’s try to make the best time of our lives and enjoy the ride, the journey. I never thought about leaving with the old contract. So many people I would miss and we thought come on it’s right.” Liverpool reportedly reached an agreement with RB Leipzig star Takumi Minamino. Klopp said: “The club is in a good place and we have space to develop. New Academy, maybe new stand but there will be cloudy days too and I have to make decisions. I wanted to sort this. Nothing to say now. We talk when it is sorted. Very good player, I can say that." On title race, the boss said: “I have no interest in stats, not in this case. It's just like it is, we have to play a lot of games. The only way we can do it, we have no idea what is in May. We play tomorrow, that is enough. Watford have new manager, we can throw our analysis in the bin!" Klopp has joked about Dejan Lovren’s injury: “He will be back before my contract ends. He is out with muscle. It is more serious than last time. We have problems.” Don’t have a timeframe, he’s out” On Salah, the Reds boss said: “I was really, really, happy for the goal he scored because of the ones he missed. It was a really important goal for us, to finish a game off like this with this highlight is great.” On Naby Keita's performances, the boss added: “Second game in a row and scoring is really nice and very important for us.” Klopp also spoke about lack of defenders. “Two fit CBs is a concern, not the first time we have this situation. Fabinho is out too. Not too cool. We have to take care in cotton wool and ask what they want in training. We have to be creative, we have Ki-Jana and Sepp. Different systems too and defensive midfielders,” he said. The game will take place on Saturday, December 14. Source- Liverpool ECHO
