Liverpool will face RB Leipzig in the Champions League round of 16 second leg on Wednesday, March 10. The Reds celebrated a 2-0 victory in the first leg.
Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp gave a press conference in which he spoke out on taking a managerial job as Germany national team coach. Today it was announced that Joachim Low will step down as Germany national team head coach after the Euros.
On Germany job: "If that's the question you want to ask, if I'm available for the job: no."
On Low leaving: "Am I available for the German job this summer? No.
"Logi Low did an incredible job for so many years. One of the most successful. I understand he wants to have this highlight of a Euros. And then someone else will do a job. Lots of good German managers."
On Champions League: “We have momentum in the Champions League. Leipzig have a different momentum as they won the last 4 but previous results don’t have an effect the game.
On Why Liverpool can win the Champions League: "Two things [why we can win CL] the quality and football in general. You always have a chance in the next game. It's half time, we have to play the game. I have no doubt about us. We will give it a proper fight. 95 mins to use."
On Fabinho potentially in midfield: "I don't know with Fab, we have to see. Or I know, but I don't say! Having Fab back is good. He missed Fulham from start as 2 games is dangerous in our situation."
