Press Conference: Jose Mourinho on Eriksen, Ndombele, Norwich and more

Tottenham return to action on Wednesday, as they welcome Norwich City to north London. Spurs will be without team talisman Harry Kane (hamstring injury), however, Tanguy Ndombele could be available after being seen returning to training this week. Ahead of the clash here are important moments from Jose Mourinho's press conference. When asked about youngster Troy Parrott, Spurs boss said: “I’m ready to answer you because I had a long conversation with him today, so I’m ready to share with you a little bit. I think he has potential. I think he needs to work a lot. He has a process to go through, a process that probably Tanganga had. One thing is 17 and another thing is 20. We are speaking about three years of distance and three years. “Ok in Tanganga’s case it was three years without a Premier League match, but it was three years or working and playing, playing in his age groups, playing in England national team [youth games], which also gave him some experience. Then with me it was just the last part of his preparation before he had his first opportunity. “I think Troy has to go through a process. Can he have minutes? Yes he can minutes. I’m not saying he’s not able to have minutes, but to put on his shoulders the responsibility of replacing somebody to be replaced, I don’t think he’s ready at all.” About Ndombele's fitness, Mourinho said: “He’s ready, he’s not ready for 90 minutes. He will be involved. He will be selected. I’m not telling you to start or come later, but no injury. Completely free. Just a question of condition and mentality to be ready, but he’s back tomorrow.” Talking about Christian Eriksen and transfer window, Portuguese manager said: “I can tell you it is great news for you because everyday is a wonderful day. I have to say amazing work, people gets addicted to the screen because it’s amazing. But for us we are very poor on news. We are very poor for two reasons: one because we are not buying a player every day and second because I am the kind of guy who refuses to speak about players from other clubs, which some managers they are happy to do it. I don’t do it, so any name you can throw at me, I will say that player belongs to club A, B or C. And I don’t talk about players from club A, B or C. “And in relation to Chrstian, the answer is not good for you. But that is the answer, and the answer he is selected for tomorrow.” As Spurs are set to face Norwich, Mourinho was asked whether teams in position like Norwich fight more, to which he replied: “It’s difficult to say that. You look to the Premier League table and apart from the champions, that is done, apart from City and Leicester, that they’re also very comfortable in their positions, you look to the rest of the table and two victories and two defeats will make a huge difference. The people in the relegation zone, they win two matches and they come out of it. “The people fighting for top four or six, you lose two matches and you drop back and you win two matches and you go up. So I think every game has a meaning. Every game has a meaning. I cannot say that but I know Norwich are in their fight and they come from a positive victory and they will try to get their points.” Spurs boss also denied reports of Danny Rose "altercation": "It was a bit of surprise that he was ready to train [on Friday]. It was not a big problem but even so I decided then to play with Tanganga. That’s the situation." Source- football.london
