Premier League is set to return in two weeks- on June 17, with Aston Villa vs Sheffield United clash and only 300 people will be in attendance if a matchday proposal sent to Liverpool, Everton and their rivals is accepted.
As
the Mirror report, it has been proposed that there will be a maximum limit of 300 for all games, consisting of a wide variety of people from players to coaching staff, media to doping control officers. However, the majority of people will be broadcast crew from television companies with as many as 98 representatives needed to put on a show for viewers at home.
The teams would be allowed a maximum of 20 players, 18 in the matchday squad and two on standby with 12 members of coaching and medical staff, due to the proposal. Each club would be allowed up to 10 directors and executives, who will be spread out in the respective boxes. There will be five officials allowed into the stadium, made up of a referee, line assistants, a fourth official and an assessor.
Currently, it seems, VAR will still be used despite FIFA letting competitions do away with it for the remainder of this season. If that proves to be the case, VAR officials at Stockley Park are most likely to be split up in separate rooms, per the report. It's suggested the rest of the numbers be made up by doping control officers, opposition scouts, press officers, members of the written press and radio broadcasters. And the post-match press conferences are reported to be held over video conference.
