Premier League clubs VOTE as a decision is made for the players that will be out of contract in summer

Premier League clubs have voted to allow contract extensions for the players that will run their contracts this summer, Sky Sports reports.  Clubs reached agreement for the future free agents and players that are currently on loan. If three parties agree for a loan extension, the League will not prevent them from signing it.  Several star players, including Chelsea winger Willian and Manchester City midfielder David Silva were supposed to leave their club this summer. However, the pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic, has changed the transfer market.  They can now stay at their clubs and earn their usual wages as before and leave a few months later.  Earlier, Premier League CEO Richard Masters confirms clubs are against playing in neutral venues. During the Monday meeting the league authorities have discussed with the teams the ‘Restart Project’, which included playing the remaining 92 fixtures in 8 or 9 neutral venues.  However, some clubs have already united against that decision, claiming that they will lose the home advantage, crucial for gaining points and battling for relegation zone. It seems not only the teams from the bottom half of the table are against this point.  “Just to reiterate that, I think everybody would prefer to play home and away if at all possible. And I think it’s clear to see that some clubs feel more strongly about that than others,” Masters told the Mirror. “It is an ongoing dialogue and obviously we’ve been talking to – since Covid-19 became an issue – we’ve been talking to the authorities about the conditions in which we could get the Premier League back up and running and taking all that advice on board. “But it is an ongoing dialogue. There is not much I can say about that, other than we are in contact with the authorities and listening to that advice while also representing club views in those discussions.” he added.
