Galatasaray forward Lukas Podolski will retire from international football after facing England national team, DFB official website confirms.
The German player will play his last game on March 22, in the friendly against England. He has been featuring for the German national team starting from 2014, the England clash will be his 130th and the last international match.
The 31-year-old has 48 goals scored for Germany national team. Among his international honors is the World Cup 2014 trophy, alongside with two bronze medals of the same competition.
Lukas Podolski has featured in 22 games in all competitions this season, having scored 15 goals and assisted six times.
