Pierluigi Gollini reveals why he wanted to join Tottenham ahead of transfer

Pierluigi Gollini has revealed that the offer of joining Tottenham was the "best one" out of the proposals that were put to him. The Atalanta goalkeeper is on his way to north London, as transfer ex0pert Fabrizio Romano has revealed. Gollini has completed his medical in Italy and will soon be officially unveiled as a Tottenham player, as he is set to become Nuno Espirito Santo's first signing since he took charge at Spurs earlier this month.

As quoted by Romano, Gollini, speaking from an Italian airport, said: "I had proposals from Italian clubs but Tottenham are the best one.   "I respect Hugo Lloris, he's a great goalkeeper and I'm proud to work with him at Spurs."
