Philippe Coutinho revealed who the controversial Manchester United celebration was directed to

Philippe Coutinho scored the 3rd goal in Barcelona's 3-0 win over Manchester United in the Champions League quarter finals, after which Catalans progressed to the semis and will prepare to play against Liverpool. Coutinho celebrated his goal by putting his fingers into his ear which raised a lot of questions. The midfielder has been a subject of speculation as he was being linked with a move away from Barcelona. But the player has explained his controversial celebration claiming that it was directed to the media. Speaking in an interview with youtuber, Koko DC, Coutinho said: "It was like a liberation, so they would see that many times I have to cover my ears to be able to do my job." (via Sport) "I've always been a person with respect to everyone ... and the truth is that this is for people to see that many times I have to cover my ears to keep the focus on the game or my work to prevent me from [being] affected," Coutinho added, "and well here , for much of the press, I do not have this respect, as work and as I dedicate myself to matches and training."
